SOFT BLUE AT THE SPANISH MONASTERY

Barbara and I go way back, like way, way back.  We actually went to middle and high school together and we have a person in common (wink, wink).  We both were in dance; she was exceptionally better than me, hands down. She was a trained ballerina and I was a self taught dancer (so just imagine). I was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed when she reached out to me since we hadn't seen each other since then. Some would say she was coy and reserved but if you ask me she isn't timid at all.  She is just super, duper mature and not to mention, a classy chic. Actually, come to think of it, she was like that even when we were younger. I would also say she is a pillar of strength for her family. Some may recognize her because she has one of the most successful Dance Studios in Miami, Miami Dance Project.

We met at my favorite local coffee shop, Pasion del Cielo and after catching up with our lives, I was in awe of her success. She invited me to visit her prodigious studio, I couldn't help but be so happy for her and her achievements.  She opted for the Ancient Spanish Monastery as her venue because she wanted to photograph her daughter's communion shoot there, so we decided to incorporate her family shoot, a twofer. The venue was a dream location and served as a perfect backdrop. The grounds were stunning, and the old architecture was breathtaking.

The day was picture perfect. As expected, mom looked stellar and absolutely beautiful in her stylish lace dress. Her husband wore a modern tailored suit and he too was elegant. Her kids looked out of this world. I told you she was a classy chic. Her daughter reminds me so much of mom. At first, she was camera-shy, but that didn't last. She came out of her shell.

All four of you were so great to work with.  I almost felt like I was part of your family. I am so happy you reached out to me and we were able to catch up.  I wish you and your family continued success and happiness.
