COMMUNION MINI
It's such a blessing capturing a child's first communion. Although I admit that mini sessions go like the wind and can feel at times repetitive, so I make it a point to treat each mini as if it were a regular session. My utmost goal is to offer a valuable outcome and do my very best to accomplish this through my vision. Ultimately, displaying mini samples of my work in mini sessions is challenging, but as you know, I love me some challenges. The best part is I get to meet new moms and children and share this incredible journey.
I love capturing a faithful representation of a boy/girl, whether in 80 minutes or in 25 minutes. Frankly, I am a true believer that with today's technology, anyone can take snapshots of kids, especially with the new iPhones, they display who, what, when, and where BUT my goal is to take their portrait. What's the difference, Adri? Well for me... it's uber important to portray a boy/girl in a way that has meaning or quality, which I believe separates a snapshot from a portrait. I love capturing a girl in their communion dress carefully walking to me as they grasp their skirt, like a princess from a fairy tale or a boy in his suit looking up to the sky in wonderment as he leans on a tree. At the end, I want to display a storytelling element with results of images with more rooted appeal and simply capture them as they are.
